Adam Sandler should absolutely not be in this movie... or any other one, as far as I'm concerned.

You know, you can't just have a blanket ban on people who've been in television Trek. If you take it to its logical extreme, it would mean that Clint Howard can't be in Trek XI, and that's aesthetically short-sighted (not to mention box-office suicide). Come on, think this through!

Clint Howard is a fine addition to any cast! I shall bow to your superior wisdom! But first, the tranya!

I'd be open to John Billingsley and/or Jeffrey Combs appearing as Phlox and Shran respectively. Anyone else top billed (or featured) from Trek incarnations (except Nimoy) should be no where to be found. And by no where I mean not even a cameo.

No Jim Carrey and no Matthew Fox please.

So that's anyone who's ever been in Enterprise, purely for selfish reasons then?

I'd say Simon Pegg. I can't shake the feeling he'll turn Scotty into a floating joke.

I don't want anyone from DS9 in it - especially as their DS9 characters in some sort of time travel foolishness or something. Too much risk that they will foul up something in DS9.

Once again, my fondest hope in all of Trekdom is that all writers who were not a part of DS9 stay the hell AWAY from that show. No point in screwing it up like they are trying hard to do with the rest of the Trek shows.

I'd say the same about VOY, but sadly, nothing can screw up VOY any worse than it was screwed up by Endgame. :(

Purely for sensible reasons. This movie needs to be an absolutely fresh start, not cluttered with cameos from a failed series which hemmoraged viewers during its entire run. I don't hate Enterprise, but it doesn't belong in this movie at all.

I have similar trepidations about Pegg. I like him very much but I have to wonder about his Mr. Scott. The lay perception of Scott is that of a hysterical guy having a constant panic attack. Scotty is ordinarilly very serious-minded and his humorous exclamations few and far between. The last thing I want this film to be is campy or self-referential.

Jeffrey coms could be in it as anything and it would be beleivable. The great thing about him is that he can be any species and make it an interesting character.

Oh my gosh. Please no. Jim Carrey has got to be the most overated comedian ever. I've never found him to be funny.

I definitely don't want to see anyone from Trek (aside from Leonard Nimoy) in this film. NO CAMEOS from TNG, DS9, VOY or ENT. Please. I don't even really want to see Shatner or Nichelle Nichols or any of the original TOS actors, either. I would find it distracting and unnecessary.

^ I second that! Jim Carey is not funny. Just annoying.

Why should he be funny? He can play a serious role too, you know ----> Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
