actors testing for Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

and wat if they did a sequel in which lincoln and a ressitated Tomas Jeffersin fought of a ninja invasion that would be the best moviefilm ever

And that is quite enough of that. Regardless of your opposing views, there is no cause for you to be mocking, so please step back from that line.

Well he's already admitted he's an elitist, arrogant, self-important, condescending asshole when it comes to this sort of thing in another thread. And since he doesn't think there's anything wrong with that, this isn't going to end well.

Reznor has an Oscar now; that sort of thing can change one's perception of one's self. You think that if Natalie Portman weren't expecting, that she'd still be interested in PP&Z after her Oscar win? Unlikely, I suspect.

Need I point out Ben Kingsley's turns in Thunderbirds and Bloodrayne?

Or Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux?

Or Michael Caine in, for example, Jaws 4?
Notice I said an Oscar "can" change one's way of thinking... ;)

Or Michael Caine in, for example, Jaws 4?

I always liked Michael Caine's comments about Jaws IV in interviews:

No matter. As Caine, 77, tells it, he’s never had a big problem doing a turkey so long as the money’s OK, and he’s playing a supporting role and not the lead. “That way you can't be blamed for its failure,” Caine says.

In 1987, Caine missed the chance to accept his Oscar for Hannah and Her Sisters because he was off filming Jaws 4. “I haven’t seen it, but I did see the house it bought for my mother and it was very beautiful,” he says. “They said here’s a million bucks for a week’s work. It’s fine.”

Oscar or not there are actors that will do projects simply because they're interested in the script and story. John Malkovitch has done genre films and he's considered one of the top a-list stars. He even has a part in "Dark of the Moon" as Sam's boss, and he signed on to do Spider-Man 4 prior to it being canned.

Which has also earned you an infraction for flaming.

So I get an infraction for calling this out for what it is:

Irrational prejudices? Here's one... my gut reaction is to think that anyone with a substantial post-adolescent interest in

- Transformers
- GI Joe
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies/Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

is very likely intellectually deficient.

While he's on a 35 strikes and you're out exception?

The whole point of that thread is to admit which of your prejudices are irrational. Just because I get a gut reaction doesn't mean I keep believing in it. ;)

^ Same with me. Normally I'm dead set against seeing movies in 3D but this is one I'll make an exception for.

Infraction for trolling. Comments to PM.

haha wtf?

Movie could be amazingly original and brilliant, or just completely retarded.

Alan Tudyk has joined the cast as Stephen A. Douglas.

Awesome news!

Should put an interesting twist on the Lincoln-Douglas debates:
