Actors' Hat Tricks

^IMDB suggests that he is in it, all the same. Of course, instead of Tron, you could have picked those The Gambler telemovies, in which he starred alongside Kenny Rogers or How the West Was Won, the series of miniseries and series proper which ran on US tv in the late 1970s.

There was also Bring 'Em Back Alive, a Raiders-inspired series about real life big game hunter Frank Buck, but that didn't go to a second season.

Speaking of Scarecrow and Mrs. King...

Bruce Boxleitner
Scarecrow and Mrs. King
Tron
Babylon 5

Er, Tron wasn't a franchise. It was just one movie.

I think he had another series (or two) - didn't he start with a ROTLA rip-off series called "Bring them back Alive" (or something like that)? (same time as "Tales from the Brass Monkey")

Bruce Campbell

Briscoe County - Adventures of Brisco County
played a superb robber in Xena series
Ash (?) don't recall the horror film series
character in Jack of All Trades.

This is sort of a joke, but Don "The Dragon" Wilson has...

Bloodfist I through VIII... where he played the same role in parts I and II but a completely different part for each movie after. One franchise, seven characters!!!

Would William Daniels count?

He played on St. Elsewhere, voiced KITT on Knightrider, and played either a teacher or principal on some show about youth.

And I don't know if Kate Mulgrew was listed but Captain Janeway, Ms. Columbo, and was on some soap opera.

Burgess Meredith played in Rocky I & II, as the Penguin on Batman, and on the show Quest.

Gavin McLeod played on Love Boat, McHales Navy (television series), and Mary Tyler Moore.

Oh, DUH! Of course William Daniels counts!

KITT
Dr. Mark Craig
Mr. Feeny

I love everything he's in. :D

William Sanderson
Larry - Newhart
E.B. Farnum - Deadwood
Sheriff Bud Dearborne - True Blood

Brad Douriff
Star Trek Voyager - Crewman Lon Suder
The Lord of the Rings - Grima Wormtongue
Deadwood - Doc Cochran

Jeffrey Combs
Deep Space Nine - Weyoun
Enterprise - Shran
The 4400 - Kevin Burkhoff

Brad Douriff is a stretch, but I really like the actor, so I decided to go with it.

Thanks to all. This is fun.

Can't believe I forgot Kate Mulgrew...Ryan's Hope was a real favorite of mine.

Lance Reddick has at least four.
- Det. John Basil, Oz
- Matthew Abbadon, Lost
- Philip Broyles, Fringe
- Cedric Daniels, The Wire

Clancy Brown has way more.
- Lex Luthor, Superman/Justice League/Justice League Unlimited
- Brother Justin Crowe, Carnivale
- Kelvin Inman, Lost
- Sinister, Wolverine and the X-Men
- Captain George Stacy and Alex O'Hirn, The Spectacular Spider-Man
- Mr. Krabs, Spongebob Squarepants

Terry O'Quinn has even more, but I'm typing less because I'm exhausted.
- Peter Watts, MillenniuM
- John Locke, Lost
- Omar Santiago, Harsh Realm

Mark Sheppard
- Tanaka, Dollhouse
- Badger, Firefly
- Romo Lampkin, Battlestar Galactica

So with everyone doing their own haphazard thing here, by this new "standard," Christian Slater counts because he did more than one episode of Alias, more than one episode of The West Wing and has been in a few sequels even though he was never in any of the movies prior to or after?

Yes, it has gotten off track.

Remember, the rolls have to be the kind that, most of the viewing public would give the right actor's name to the iconic character...or vice versa.

Somethong that made a MAJOR impact, not just on us fanboys, I mean, fanatics, I mean...TV Afficanadoes and Consures. ;)
