Something I learned from doctor who, decimation means literally wiping out a 10th. So it's kind of a misnomer.

^ Yep. It's an old Roman term, used to flog legions. I was making a lame joke referencing D-Day or M-Day in the Marvel U.

Really? I always thought it meant a significant wipeout, with only a tenth left.

^ It kind of depended on the legion commander IIRC. It's been a while since my course in Roman military history.
