From our friends at Asylum comes their knock-off of one of this year's expected blockbusters (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). The Hollywood movie doesn't inspire me with much confidence or motivation to see it. But this Asylum movie? Looks decidedly fun.

The real movie looks like it has an amazing style - that's the quality that cheap-ass Asylum can't imitate. Nah, I'm sticking with the real thing.

Well, I got it and watched it and have to say that, actually, it's not too bad. It does have a very low-budget feel and quality to it but it was enjoyable and the guy who plays Lincoln did an amazing job. I'd recommend getting this, I got mine at Best Buy for around $10.

No matter what he's doing now, Carl Weathers will always have Rocky and Predator on his resume. For that matter Mario Van Peebles will always have Highlander: The Final Dimension and Jaws the Revenge on his resume so American Warships is really a step up from his standard fare.
