? about TNG books

Can I read from Death in Winter until the most recent books without having seen any of the series besides TNG itself as well as the films? Or will I be lost?

I picked up Death in Winter from the library today. I guess I'll see how that goes and if I'll be able to continue without getting confused.

I may just have to ebay all the Star Trek box sets. I wish they were being released to Blu Ray.

Well, Paramount/CBS has said they will be doing Blu Ray releases going forward. When they'll get around to doing so with the Trek catalogue, though, is anybody's guess.
