Well, it's Ron Moore. It could be interesting. I won't pass judgement until I see it.
You know, at some point network TV has to punch back, or it will die. So yeah, I'll check it out, and keep watching if it's good, and not if it's bad.
Nah, it's not about cowboys. It's about surfers on a quest for the most righteous wave, only The Man has a Plan and is out to kill their mellow. And little did they know, but the sharks hunting them down are robots ... that look like people ... dressed as sharks ... and they have a plan, too! Get ready for angst. Get ready for grit.

Sounds promising. Ought to at least have a decent budget.
And after seeing the description of the show, it actually resembles Murdoch Mysteries a bit, I'd say.

It's Ron Moore. I'm not a big fan of Westerns (liked Deadwood, though) but I guess if Ron Moore has a new series I'll at least try it.
Well, Westerns are the hot new thing (along with witches) on TV now. I'd like to see a Western with supernatural/horror elements. I wonder if that Supernatural spinoff idea will ever be resurrected.

They're "punching back" this season. Some of the nets have honchos they brought in from cable precisely for that reason and several of the new shows have a cable-y feel to them. So the fate of shows like Pan Am will reveal whether punching back is possible. The real problem could be in the business model of broadcast vs cable rather than anything to do with creative efforts.

And drinking Sarsaparilla. Speaking of Sarsaparilla, there are coolers on the market now that are being marketed as Sarsaparilla. No idea if they're anything like the real thing, but it's exactly as you'd expect alcoholic root beer to taste.
In my vision of an Old West saloon, everyone's drinking rotgut. Whatever that is. They probably don't even know.
