A Writing Question

Printing or cursive?

Ha! I'd be afraid to think what a handwriting analyst would come up with if they studied my writing! Hopefully not "the writing of a serial killer"!!!! :lmao:

Oh! It came out crooked and pink! *titter ye not* :guffaw:

I dunno, cursive takes me much longer because I don't write like that. I'm sure print would take much longer for people who don't utilize it often. It really depends on your preference, and I would never want to use cursive. I find it legible but generally unpleasant to read.

I learned how to analyze handwriting once, but I can't remember much of it now. K'Ehleyr's looks the easiest to analyse.

And Nerys, your writing is wonderful! It has a mysterious quality to it like a page out of some 13th century grimoire. :) Disciplined yet graceful... what one might expect from someone who practices Tai Chi, perhaps??

Oh but it's much prettier than print. Although yours, Kesta, does have a certain appearance of script to it. I mean that in a totally good way :)

Oh please analyse me Jadzia :) And forget that it's crooked. Although I do usually write with the paper at a near 90% angle to me ~ doesn't everybody do that?

I agree, Nerys's handwriting is wonderful ~ it makes you want to read it all to savour the letters.

Ha! If only I had the coordination for that... ;)

Still, I think it kinda fits, because I do place great importance on my faith.

Oh please analyse me Jadzia :)

okay, but it's not going to be anything too insightful. I'll explain where the meanings come from:

1. Your writing is very plain and simple, much like how we're taught to write in school. You haven't personalized it. You don't embellish your letters. This suggests that you're more likely to be a person who is conformist. You write the way school told you to write and continue to do so. You do what others expect of you and continue to do so.

2. Your writing is generally more curly than it is angular. All of your letters are formed of curves. Even your letter i. This is suggesting that you are ruled by emotion more than reason. You follow your feelings.

3. Your writing drops down as you go along the line. This often suggests a disinclination to activity or exertion.

4. Your letters generally lean to the right, which means that when you write you are looking to what is ahead. If that translates to life in general it is a person who looks to the future, more than to the past. You are more interested with what is to come than what has been and gone.

5. Your writing is presented boldly with fairly large letters and generally filling the page. This suggests you are moderately outgoing. More of an extravert than an introvert.

Oh and I thought I had character distinctive handwriting
Ok not as much as Nerys's!
You're right with the heart over head and moderately outgoing.
I think the writing drops down because I do write at an odd angle to the paper, but then again I haven't run a marathon in a while either.
As for being a conformist ~ hmmm. I'm glad I can disguise my true intentions :shifty:

Thank you Jadzia :)

My handwriting's a unique blend. I think I tend to include some cursive elements in it from my school days, but it's not formal cursive.

I write in cursive if I have to write a lot of stuff because it is easier and faster to write it. If I have to write a short memo or note to my boss I print it.

I certainly hope this is "For Entertainment Purposes Only".

I never said my analysis would be correct. ;)

It is a science, but it's a science of trends: what is likely or unlikely, rather than what is strictly true or false. So the rules of interpretation aren't always accurate. Besides which I can't remember most of them now. :p

Obviously, if somebodies writing is extremely neat and perfect, even for something like a shopping list or a simple reminder, then that does say something about the person: That they're more likely to be a perfectionist than not.

And now I'm curious, Jadzia--is there anything else you would see in my writing?

You have a lot of emotional energy, but exhibit a lot of emotional control too. Your head tends to rule your heart, and you tend not to let go of things that happen to you -- whether good or bad. You have a greater ability to concentrate than the average person, and outside of your day to day concerns, your thoughts tend to be spiritual and philosophical in nature. You enjoy company with large numbers of people, rather than one or two people. You are also confident, and successful with what you put your mind to. Contrasting this lot, your least developed skills are perhaps those involving material thinking/visualisation, such as engineering-type activities.

Ooooh, can you do mine next, Jadzia? I want to know what my handwriting tells people.

^ Nerys is just adding embellishments. But it's interesting that whenever there's a letter stroke that normally ends below the line, Nerys insists on taking the curve up above the line like she's avoiding that area, which could have some meaning.

Below the line tends to be the domain of physical and natural things, relating to what is tangible or of the body.
