A Voyager Movie...

Wow. You should be a writer.

Riiight, so no one got that I was joking... sheeesh.

You're waaay too serious.
No, it's just that we've dealt with people before who really think this kind of thing should happen. Sometimes it's really hard to tell when people are joking...and when people are being idiots.

I agree.

The sarcasm in the original post was tough to tell. When I re-read it, I still see little.

Ahh.. ok... I'll make my sarcasm much more evident in the future.... :) (Must be my Aussie sense of humour...)

Sorry... lol... I DO love Picard and Janeway... but I was completely joking about them hooking up... I cant think of anything worse. Maybe Chakotay and Seven came close... :)

But to be serious, I WOULD love a Voyager movie, but I DO live in the real world and know that it would be a huge commercial flop, so it would never ever happen.... look, I wouldnt be against seeing 'something' made which brought back particular characters from different series, but that's probably a pipe dream too.

How great would a VOY/TNG/DS9 movie be? All the casts together! It would be brilliant! The two ships could be docked at DS9... and well, thats about all I can come up with. LOL... wait... Picard and Janeway could hook up... :) Hehe...

This is something I have suggested for years. It would be great!

It could also serve as an introduction for a new series which would take part some time after the movie "Nemesis". A series with new main characters but where some of our old favorites, like Riker, Picard, Janeway, Kira and others could drop in from time to time.

As long as it is a court martial movie like the "The Court Martial of George Armstrong Custer" and the object of the exercise is Captain Jean Luc Picard^1. I can see Janeway, Sisko, Kira Nerys maybe Jellicoe and some no name Vulcan or Tellerite serving on the court martial board. Commander Shelby can pers---er prosecute. Just to make things fair (guarantee a conviction, that is) we make Will Riker Picard's defense counsel.

:guffaw:

^1 Worst Federation Captain ever!

Unfortunately, that's true. Sadly, as well, not enough people like Trek anymore, or at least not people who would go see it at theatres or anything like that. Not for Voyager, anyway.

I'd go see a Voyager film! If it would show us the unanswered questions about Seven in society - does she meet her relations on earth? how the Dr ended up with a missus (we see her in endgame) does Janeway get another man? Did Seven and Chakotay marry in the timeline we seen, we see Janeway at Chakotay's grave and mention seven was his wife. I'd like to see what happened to the crew!

We'd have to sneak Kimc and her Tuvvie on the screen as a couple as past lovers come to find each other

Okay. So that's eight dollars on opening weekend...Maid in Manhattan II is sooo going to kick this movie's ass.

Don't forget that Neelix was also in "First Contact" Ethen Phillips played the holographic waiter in the Dixon Hill program...

Hey Lucy,

I think it would be a great idea, it would probably never happen though. Funny thing is that Hollywood comes out with crap all the time, so someone is greenlighting all these films that always lose money. I think the bar for Trek is so high that unless the studios involved were convinsed that it would be a huge moneymaker for them, they would never consider it.

Think of it, TOS got it's second life in films, so did TNG which got the torch passed them in the film "Generations" so there was a sense of closeure with those two. DS-9 in my mind never really had a ending, there were to many unanswered questions. Voyager just barley gets back to earth and bam...series over. We never see what happened after they got back. The answer could be a TV miniseries, the hard part would be getting all the actors back together again for one last shoot. In a couple of hours most of in not all the questions could be answered. Remember when DS-9 ended it showed Jake and Kira looking out into space and the camera pulls way back until all you see are stars. In this ending you could show the members of both crews on DS-9 with Voyager docked on one of the upper pylons. The family together again...

Resistance is Futile

Would never work. DS9 ended well. Leave it at that. Voyager is over too - and with everyone back in the Alpha Quadrant, there really wouldn't be much point. Now I'd be perfectly happy to see another TNG movie one day, but that probably won't happen. Oh well, at least there's always Star Trek XI, which I'm really looking forward to.

I don't think they would ever be able to get Patrick Stewart for such a movie as his salary alone would probably be more then the movies budget!

Maybe they could make a Titan direct to DVD movie and have some Voyager Crew Members aboard Titan.

I have to say, though...a Voyager movie would be TRUE LOVE! Unfortunately, not enough people think so. :(

Still, between us Voyager fans, it would be awesome. So here's an idea: How about we all suggest what WE think a VOY movie would be like?
