A Vazquez Rocks Pilgrimage?

So, I'm going to be in the LA area in January, and was thinking of driving up and checking out Vazquez Rocks. Anyone have any tips/suggestions on making this worthwhile and fun?

Anyone have a spare Gorn suit I can borrow?

Take two time travelling dudes out there and throw them to their deaths.

Allow hilarity to ensue.

It's a California state natural area; official web site:

Anyone ever been out there? Is it hard to get to the famous rocks?

You know, these:

I'm not going to hike for an hour to get to them, but if it's pretty close to the road, I might have to make the trip out there for the ridiculous photo-op.

Also, seriously, anyone have a spare Gorn I can borrow?
Not hard to get there at all, now; it's just off the freeway. (You can even see them driving by.)

Take the Agua Dulce Canyon Road exit coming from either direction on Highway 14/Antelope Valley Freeway. See the map here. You'll be able to print it out and also to use Google Maps to get directions from wherever you're starting.

No spare Gorn, though. Sorry!
