A transporter-less Trekverse

    There's a razor-thin field beneath the object. It does settle, albeit imperceptibly to the Human eye.

    Ok. So how do we retcon all existing transporter references to be this wormhole teleporter, rather than disassemble you and reassemble you one sided fax machine?

    I don't think you can. save it for the inevitable and probably far off total reboot of the franchise.

    If the wormhole is funnelled through an adjacent realm composed of a different type of energy to our own, it shouldn't be too hard to reinterpret most show references

    Would explain also why sometimes there are accidents like in TMP. partial materialization in adjacent realm.
