My besr friend (a fellow Trek fan) had pointed out how several elements in the Kahn series reminded him of elements in the Destiny trilogy (my personal favorite Trek story ever). After listening (again) to episodes 1-8, Iwe discussed this and identified together these elements:

- The Elborians & the Caeliar - the Elborians give out a similer.. vibe, in their interactions with the humans, and their Pandem seems similar to the Caeliar Gestalt.
- The Elborians' situation - this reminded me of the Axion part of the Destiny plot
- the 'distrusting militray-vibe character' - Khan's Ivan seems similar to the MACO character Foyle in general vibe
