A-Team movie

I really thought it was a lot of fun, and I liked all of the cast, even Quentin Jackson. Neeson and Copley were definitely the standouts, though. I'd really like to see a sequel, but I don't think it did well enough. Sad.

The tank scene was epic.

I really enjoyed the flick. I only wish the van was in it more (anyone who saw it knows what I mean) and I have to agree the ending was a mess. Great lead in with the metal helmet and stuff, but all the switcharoo with the shipping crates didn't add anything but confusion.

I wish the flick had done better. I would have loved to see a sequel.

I was a huge fan of The A-Team long before the movie came out, and I thought the movie was pretty good. It modernized it while still retaining the over the top silliness of the series.
I was very happy with the casting, and even Quinton Jackson did an admirable job, although the B.A storyline didn't do any justice to the character, and was perhaps extending Jackson's acting a bit too far, but he handled it well enough.

I definitely wish it did well enough for a sequel, because while the origin story was great, the opportunities for another story would have probably been a bit more in line with the series.

Anyone who saw the trailer knows what you mean. Funny as it was, I wish they'd kept that out of the advertising. I'd have died laughing in the theatre, except I was actively anticipating it.

It was pretty OK, very unconvincing effects work on the container ship collapsing though.

The container ship collapsing, containers falling and B.A./Face running around was probably the "worst" SFX sequence in the movie.

Is it certain there won't be a sequel? I heard talk.

World-wide take and DVDs sales gave the movie a modest "profit" over the production costs but that's not taking into consideration marketing which probably means the movie about broke even. A sequel isn't very likely but you never now the studio may think the property still has potential in a second movie made with a lower budget the entire cast has expressed interest in doing another one.

the best bit of the tank scene is the German guy fishing with dynamite in the lake and then BOOM! the tank shell hits.

that and the tank driving out of the lake and Murdoch asking the woman 'which way to Berlin?'

and i loved the way Face was living the cushy life in military jail.

and the 3D movie gag with the Humvee through the wall was funny.

and i liked the way Lynch was a CIA stock alias.

hell, i just love the movie full-stop.

The movie is a lot of fun and, yeah, I loved Face living a good life in jail, getting tail, tans and even in the extended cut of the DVD actually is expanding his cell into a neighboring one. It's really a fun movie and I wish it had done well enough to make a sequel now more likely.

I do wonder, however, why they broke out of the jail-truck at the end. Now they're being arrested and tried for a crime they did commit (breaking out of prison) but certainly whatever judge they stand before in that trial will see that the ends justified the means. They were wrongfully convicted, set-up by corrupt agent(s) and they managed to recover the stolen plates. Okay, sure, a container ship was blown up in the process but still seems a reasonable judge would at-least see the "good" in all of and give the men an honorable discharge (overriding the dis-honorable one they had gotten before.) But, of course, in that case there'd be no set-up for a potential sequel.

I rented it one day when I was home sick and really enjoyed it. I had my doubts going in since I was a fan of the show back in the day, but it was a lot of fun.
It was cool to see Reginald Barclay in the movie credits during the Murdoch break out scene.

I just thought the next Lynch would work behind the scenes to protect the CIA and not the A-Team who would take the fall, again.

The 3D movie bit was damn funny, and the line during the escape: "Wow, those bullets look like they're coming right at you!"

Fantastic movie and I'd love to have the DVD, but I refuse to buy it as the R2 DVD is the cut-for-a-12-rating cinema version, and the uncut is only on Blu-Ray. (I don't mean just that the BD is an extended cut - the UK theatrical cut is censored from the US theatrical cut, removing what "AMF" stands for, and a couple of other things) And I refuse to buy a Blu-Ray player for that sort of double-standard, and I refuse to buy the cut version and thus still support that double-standard.

If I see it for £2 in a charity shop or something, then I might get it.

Liam Neeson was a better Hannibal than I expected, Murdoch was great, BA was OK... The only thing I really didn't like was the way the musical score kept starting to almost do the intro to the theme tune, then just as you were geared up to go "YEAH!" - it stopped and went back to the same random post-techno crap. Repeated multiple let-downs there.

The "Which way to Berlin" line was the most unexpectedly hilarious line, and the 3d movie bit was another highlight.

I didn't see this film in the theaters and now I regret it. Rented it through netflix and thought it was surprisingly much more fun than I anticipated. As far as I am concerned, everyone's take on it was believeable. I wish they would make a sequel, but won't hold my breath.

While I will agree the 3rd act fell apart a bit (plot became needlessly complex, bad SFX and set design made things hard to follow, etc...), taken as a whole this movie was a hell of a lot of fun. I agree all 4 mains inhabited their roles very well, and had great chemistry with each other. Patrick Wilson was a great bad guy, and obviously had fun chewing the scenery. The flying tank sequence, while utterly ridiculous, was awesome, imho.

I walked out of the theater excited about a sequel, and am definitely disappointed that it didn't perform better.

Guys, guys! Don't you get it?!

Buy firing the tank's gun at the ground, they slowed their descent enough to survive! AND aim it to land safely in the lake!

;)
