Captain Obvious here, but .... the "fake trailer" isn't even a trailer. It's a mashup of footage from other movies and cut together like the opening of the show. Not exactly the most creative trailer out there.

I do have to admit to being excited to see this movie, if only because the trailers that we have gotten so far have been fun, balancing between modernizing the concept yet still retaining some of the cheeseball factor from the original show. So to answer the OP's question, no, the fake trailer is not better.

I am still cool on Liam Neeson as Hanibal, maybe because im so use to seeing Neeson in different roles (Shindler, Qui Gon, Darkman, etc.) and because i'm a big George Peppard fan (RIP - 1994).

Am I the only person that thinks the real movie looks like a lot of fun? I'm most certainly catching it in theaters.

I'm also curious to see the new movie, but I admit to expecting them to have missed a major part of why the A-Team was so popular. I was reading the prequel comic book and in one issue Hannibal and BA shoot a bunch of bad guys to death during a battle.

I won't necessarily equate the comic with what actually happens on screen, but more of the same will disappoint me terribly.

If you need to ask why that's so wrong, then you probably weren't around when the A-Team was the #1 show on TV! The whole point behind the show's popularity was its intentional unrealism -- people would shoot off Uzis in a crowded room and no one would ever get hurt! Cars would crash in spectacular fashion, and there would always be a "You OK, Joe?" shot as someone crawled out of the wreckage, unscathed. It was a big fantasy.

If they ignore that in favor of realism, they would have completely missed the point, just like when the Avengers movie had John Steed snogging Emma Peel, which indicated the writers had no concept of what The Avengers was all about.

^ you should probably avoid it then. Carnahan's said repeatedly that these guys are green berets. they will kill people.

personally, i think it looks awesome. and the 4 clips that came out yesterday have served to whet my appetite a lot.

they're trying to fly the tank!!!

No, I think the real movie may look like a lot of fun, too, but between those two trailers the fake one looks better then the real one. When I saw the first real trailers on TV I thought the movie might be pretty good. Except Mr. T should of had his part back... having someone else look like him in this film, well, I dunno if that's going to work :)
