A Superman question

The real question is this: are Superman's bowels so powerful that he can actually shit diamonds? After all, diamonds are nothing but highly pressurized carbon, yes?

I checked on DC's website and they say Superman weighs 220lbs

I could pick up Superman! That feels weird to be able to say that.

Well, so long as he's not holding a mountain or something at the time.

In one Elseworlds story a few years back, Clark Kent is sent from a doomed earth to Krypton. Because of the higher gravity, he has to wear a brace.

Do you remember what issue that took place in?

It was a two-parter by Steve Gerber and was published as "Superman - Last Son of Earth" in 2000. This was followed by a sequel called "Superman - Last stand on Krypton".

Humans get Supermanlike super powers under the Blue Sun of Bizarro world

Powers like what? Skin cancer?

Anyway, I don't think I've ever been bothered by any crappy science in a comic more than the notion that red sunlight actively depowers Superman. It's so stupid, on so many levels, and calls attention to how stupid everything else is through its stupidity. (I also sort of wonder if Krypton is around a red dwarf or if "red" just means a K-type star, because I'm pretty sure Krypton isn't supposed to be tidally locked.)

I think in the Golden Age the Kryptonians were actually just ridiculously advanced, and took their powers for granted. This made a bit more sense, especially if you assume they might not be able to fly to other planets on their own power without the "boost" of a yellow sun. I mean, it's still dross, but acceptable dross, you know?

Can anyone answer whether Johns' Superman: SO retcon the Kryptonian birthing matrix thing? I can't find whether it did or not.
