A Sneak Peek of Season 2 Remastered Unaired Episodes!!

They even lost the Delta Flyer once if I remember right.

There was such a great premise here for Voyager: on the other side of the galaxy, no more re-suppy, no Federation and a crew from two cultures, fighting among itself. It was not Roddenberry's vision but it could have been interesting Trek, exploring brave new worlds. All of that promise was lost by the first few episodes. Instead it became TNG-PMS, starring a bitchy captain fighting an alien-forehead-of-the-week wtih technobabble saving the day. And Harry, you'll always be the butt-boy.

After a few years, my TREK friends and I tended to call it "TNG Lite." :D Sometimes there were awesome arcs and episodes, but more often than not it seemed like the show's incredible Delta Quadrant potential for mystery, terror and adventure was just flushed in favor of rehashes of horror movie plots and TNG episodes.

Outpost4 - Yes, they crashed the first Delta Flyer a couple of times and then let the Borg blow it up. They built a new one in about a week. As much as I love Voyager...

Also known as the "Eagle Quandary".

Moonbase Alpha seemed to have an infinite supply of Eagle transport vehicles as at least one was destroyed in seemingly every episode. I guess one could rationalize they mined the moon for the titanium and other ores needed to build new ones, but still...

Sincerely

Bill

Wasn't there a shot in an early episode of Space 1999 showing a HUGE underground hangar, with a whole bunch of Eagles?

At least with Archer's 22nd century Enterprise you can say that there aren't many shuttelpods because the ship's resources and space were limited and the designers of the era didn't envisage needing more than two or three per ship. And even that stretches some credulity seeing as there are no escape pods and only one crude, small transporter.

At least, two small shuttlepods were more realistic than endless torpedoes and shuttles without being resupplied.

No arguments there.

ENTERPRISE had many faults. But at least an endless supply of torpedoes and shuttles was never one of 'em.
