A small change to the "Manhunt"

Lakenheath 72

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
I noticed a small change made to the "Manhunt" when I was watching the episode today.

In the older versions, Jean-Luc Picard said, Setting, San Francisco California, United States Of America. The year, 1945 A.D. The office of Dixon Hill, Private Investigator.

The year has been changed in the latest version to 1941.

As we can't see Picard's full face, just the side, no one can lip read the character and know that he spoke 1945.

The wrong year has always annoyed me, and I glad to see that they made this change. This is the kind of change I approve.

Where were you watching this "older version" exactly? I can't speak for the VHS version, but I just checked and it's definitely 1941 on the Blu-ray from 2012, the U.S. DVD from 2002, and the UK DVD from the same era.

The Mandela Effect is when many people all have the same false memory.

I'm pretty sure it was always 1941. Those Dix stories mentioned things like Dimaggio's hitting streak and staying out of the war...
