So I have been working on a TARDIS prop myself over the years. My collaborator and friend William B. Swift of www.whoniverse.net is my writer and co-art director on this project. I am producing a fan publication book made to look as if it came from the Gallifrey Black Hole shipyard, and made for Time Lords as a sort of source book on the Mark I, Type 40 TARDIS. We've been working on this project together for over 8 years. It's been fun, slow going at times as much of that was delving into research about the ship, physics, and gathering new Data That becomes available in the new series. Much of our work is however shielded because we are only concentrating on the classic era Mark I version of the ship. This means that we can pick and choose which new data to add in as a feature of the Mark I and ignore the newer stuff included in the current Mark III the doctor sports.
Anyhow, sometime back, I got into a back and forth over art usage, and ultimately made friends with two of the most fascinating fans I have ever met. Tony Farrell and Dino from the TARDIS Builders website! Between Tony and Dino, the art and work they did together reminded me of my work with William on the TARDIS original Default Mark I format.

Here is a great example of his work:
Tony and Dino were so popular and influential in their work that the BBC and co., had contacted him about using his work for the 2017 Christmas Special. It was such a huge help to the producers, that my good friend Tony was invited to the set!! Imagine that!
Now between the work Tony did and Dino, I am so proud to call them my mentors and friends, and with the self published Book William and I are putting together, Tony and Dino will be pivotal and prominently praised in my book as part of the project. Once released, I plan to send them 2 copies each for their collections.

Our goal with this project was to take the late 70s Doctor Who Technical Manual, and copy it's format and flavor while creating a schematics and design book that felt like Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise. seeing as how there hasn't been a book out there like that before for Doctor Who, this was the perfect choice to give the fandom something new and something special. I am happy to have spoken to Dino and Tony Farrell, they along with William are Rockstars of Whovianism to me, and I look forward to completing my work and possibly some day meeting these fine gentlemen in person. Cheers!
