I honestly could give a damn about this whole steroid thing. People are slinging mud at A-Rod and other players when they really live in glass houses to begin with. And as much as A-Rod likes to ham it up for the camera and all that, I believe him when he says he hasn't been using the stuff since he's been a Yankee.

I don't live in a glass house, I give everything I got when I play sports and even though I'm not a superstar, I don't shoot needles up my ass to be one.

Too bad steroids arent legal...they were banned by kneejerk reactionism AGAINST the advice of scientific experts (3 separate organizations) to Congress...used with supervision they could be a great force for recovery and performance, as a supplement to the usual training...and in fact they WERE by a large majority of players during that time period.

I thought cheating was breaking the rules to gain an unfair advantage. Are steroids and other performance enhancing drugs against the rules of baseball? Yes. Is every player taking them? Most likely not. Do those players taking them have an advantage over "clean" players? Yes.

If A=B, B=C, then A=C. As currently written, the use of steroids is cheating.

I know they're being used, I know they've been used. Any moron who looks at baseball's "testing" policy knows it's not designed to catch users, but to warn users so they don't get caught. The ones who've gotten caught are either too stupid or arrogant to believe they could get caught.

What would Arod using HGH prove? That he could? That he's got the money and resources to get away with it? To allow him to constantly thumb his nose at the game and fans?

As for the home run itself, typical Rodriquez statistic - looks good on paper, but didn't really affect the outcome of the game.

But what if they were? You wouldn't stop liking the team, would you? Would you start slamming any member of that team if they were linked to PEDs?

People are doing this to A-Rod because they hate the Yankees. Not surprising that they'd do that, really. They hate him because he's a Yankee; I like him for the same reason. And like I said, I believe him when he says he hasn't done PEDs since he's been a Yankee. Obviously you would not - again, because he's a Yankee. No, I'm not flaming you for that. It's expected that people react that way.

But you'll notice I haven't complained about anyone from any other team that's used the stuff...
