A Right of Passage for the Newbies

How he can sing that with a straight face is beyond me. This guy must be the biggest Trek Loser alive. Thank god he is not wearing a DS9 era jersey - we can blame this one on the TOS fans. :D

Also, it looks like this goober did not limit his musical endeavors to Trek - I see videos for Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis too, listed in my choices on the right. I'm not watching past DS9 though...I can't imagine how you could write lyrics for those two Stargate-related opening themes.

Bottom line - this is one guy who has WAY too much free time on his hands, and needs to get laid in the worst possible way. Although frankly, speaking as a girl - even a scifi loving girl - I can't imagine how that's ever going to happen.
This is highly LOL-able. Pure Gold:bolian::rommie:

OMG WTF??

I am so glad I checked this out.

I'll admit I watched the others... Hilarious.

For TNG he uses props.

I really wish there was a *point gun at head and pull the trigger* emoticon, cause I'd totally use it in this case. If you want even more wtf-ery check out his SG-1 and SGA theme songs with lyrics. OMG.

Well, ya know...I'm just sayin. :p

I mean, one or MAYBE even two of these videos, he could convincingly pass off as the result of an ill-advised cold winter evening shut in the house with nothing but a bottle of tequila and a video camera.

But this guy has got about 5 or 6 of these puppies posted to YouTube, minimum, and EASILY refers to himself, with a straight face, as "Professor Q". And let's not even talk about how he clearly owns not one, but MULTIPLE Star Trek costumes, which he apparently has at the ready. And props, according to another poster.

Now, I'm a pretty hard-core scifi girl who actually finds most geeks pretty cute....but even *I* have to wonder about a guy who would post not one, but FIVE OR SIX of these things to YouTube, where the WHOLE WIDE WORLD could witness his ill-advised Ongoing Musical Humilithon for the Uber-Nerd.

Good thing for him Conan is no longer doing Triumph, The Insult Comic Dog. That's all I've got to say!

As an aside...I have to confess that I did end up watching the ones for Stargate Atlantis and SG-1 (where he actually discusses at length, in earnest geekspeak, his favorite episode involving a quantum mirror and Daniel Jackson visiting an alternative universe or something. The SG-1 vid is the CLEAR winner, as far as Blatantly Epic Loserdom On Display goes - no contest), in addition to the DS9 one. And when I watched those, much to my horror, I saw another link for a Eureka video. Now I mean, seriously. EUREKA????? :wtf:  Is no show safe from this guy????

I ROTFLMAO aGAIN

^ Seriously. Go watch the SG-1 video.

I mean, I've been on this BBS for almost 10 years - a mod for 8. And the SG-1 video this guy did might just be the most life-alteringly stupid-ass thing I have ever seen a scifi nerd a) do; and b) POST ON YOUTUBE (GAH! ). And over the past 10 years, I have seen a LOT of scifi nerds do a LOT of pretty incredible stuff.

I mean, this poor nerd will NEVER live this shit down.

*Watches SG-1 video*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Ears bleed from Awfulness AGAIN*

That was incredibly bad. My guess his string days never seeing a real naked woman is continuing after cutting that one. His got some brass balls for doing a YouTube or some type of chemical imbalance

My favorite part is this line here:

"I'm talking StarGATE!!...it's a crazy TRIIIIPPPP! You can go quite far! And you don't need a car!! Or even a SHIIIIPPPPPP!"

:guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Seriously, I may just pee my pants, I'm laughing so hard, even typing it. :guffaw:

Although The Big Finish is destined for Legend too:

"LOOK! OUT! For THAT! G-G-G-G-G-G (etc - I'm too lazy to count them)- o'auld!"

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I'm tellin' you, my firends. THIS is is the sort of shit every sciifi nerd should aspire to.

IF they want a life of guaranteed celibacy.

I mean, we are talking some SERIOUSLY epic WIN, here! :techman:

I assume that you are using "win" in a sarcastic sense here? ;) These wouldn't be so bad if he could actually sing. But as it is, I think the best way to describe these "renditions" is win-defying.

Here is SGA:

I love him singing off key in the last stanza:

Stargate Atlaaaaaaaaantis is real.
It's underwaaaaaaaater,
Right where the Ancients left iiiiiiiiiiiiit.
There.

:)

That one's official, actually; Joe Malozzi and company sing it on one of the SG-1 DVD commentaries. It's kind of cute when they do it, though, because they're obviously self-aware enough to feel embarrassed. But I'm not brave enough to listen to his version to see how it stacks up.

What has me worried there is the line about how it's 'real'.

Given this guy's lack of...erm....common sense...one has to wonder if he really thinks so.

:guffaw: oh man.

All I can think of (re the "official" lyrics -- and you KNOW that DeLuise had a LOT to do with it) is that -- remember, kiddies -- the themes to both "Star Trek" and "Bonanza" have official lyrics, too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA-PdP4k4Xw

>shudder<

BTW, I think I know what annoys me most about the lyrics to the Voyager credits:

The change of "viewpoint" from line to line.

It goes from "We're stranded in the delta quadrant" to "Voyager, please come home" without any interruption or space. So WE are stranded, but we want SOMEONE ELSE to come home what????

Sigh.

That video and this thread have had me laughing so hard for the past ten minutes that my eyes were tearing!! I just wanted to say thanks for showing me the funniest thing I've seen all year.

Surely this guy is taking the piss, and isn't serious with these songs.....

Great i'm watching DS9 right now (the quickening if anyone wants to know) and the credits just rolled all i can think of is 'come down to the promenade'
