A Question about "TUE"

Hi, all. Am noticing a bunch of stories here with title all prefaced with TUE for "The Untold Era".

Is this an organized effort to fill in the blanks for this period between TUC and TNG, or is it just a confluence of folks all writing in the same era?

I've had an idea for some stuff in the same general period and don't want to step on any toes.

Hi Mysterion, it's just a confluence so jump on in! A few of us overlap through United Trek but everyone is doing their own thing.

There is a another group of us who met through Facebook writing in a shared universe under the title The Untold Era, but yeah. It's basically an identifier for the stories taking place in the years between TUC and TNG that anyone can use.

is "The Untold Era" just for the TUC to Tng? there are other "untold era'
First Contact to Enterprise 2063 - 2151
Enterprise to Disco 2165 - 2255
Tuc to Tng 2293 - 2365
Nemisis to Picard 2379 - 2399

TUC to TNG is what we've been using it for so far, but you're right, there are other periods it could apply to.

We are focusing on TUC to TNG in general. We're also trying to keep track of each other so we don't contradict each other and can even do a bit of cross-over.

Generally we follow Memory Beta for background information, and we did decide to work in an alien race called the Gaabrox. No requirement of course, just they are there. Remember the catlike girls with the tails we saw with Kirk in STID? Those are Gaabrox (because no one explicitly said who they were on screen). Very powerful touch telepaths, all of whom look female but about half are what we might call fully functional intersex or duogender. They fled their homeworld a long time ago, for reasons unclear but the stuff of various legends. A big chunk of them organized and petitioned for Federation membership, which was granted. Still, a lot live outside the Federation and are often treated poorly. One of them is Captain of USS Hippogriff.

We follow what little canon (Memory Alpha) as there is, which sadly isn't much. Also, canon races with little to no background can be expanded on, as in the example of the Gaabrox.

Hmm, I'm rather liking the idea of exploring the 2063-2164 era... henceforth adding the Romulan War.
