A Note to Everyone on my Stories

I just wanted to apologize to everyone for the slow pace of "Blood Cries" and the rest of my stories. I am working on them when I get the opportunity. It's just that there's so much going on in my life right now. First, I and my family have just closed on a new house and we are in the midst of getting ready to move--as you can imagine, that can be quite disruptive to the creative process in and of itself, but there is a second, much sadder reason. My mother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. That's one of the reasons for our move so that we can be closer to better facilities and other family members for assistance as I and my immediate family are primary caretakers. My mother is living with us and one of those facilities is a hospital with an Alzheimer's support group that we are going to need to rely on in the coming months and years. Also, the new house is closer to places that we can get my mother involved in--volunteer activities etc., so that she can keep both mind and body exercised.

So, I ask for everyone's patience and your kind thoughts and prayers as I and my family get situated and again, I am still writing!

Thanks again.

Very sorry to hear about your mother. I hope the move goes smoothly and that you can find the care and support both your mother and your family need. Don't worry about your stories - you can pick those back up when time allows.

I'm sorry to hear about your family situation, David. Obviously, family takes priority, so we'll be all be here waiting when you're able to get back to your writing.

I'm sorry to hear that--and please remember, we don't oblige you to do anything. Especially not when love and duty to your family come first. We'll be all right--and I'll definitely offer your family my prayers.

It's all good, David. Hope things turn for the better. Write when you can-no pressure-we're not going anywhere.

If you need anything, even just an ear or a shoulder, let me know. Take care.

Wow, thats sad to hear. For what its worth, I understand what you are going through. My mom died of cancer 3 years ago, and it was hard watching her deteriorate.

Take all the time you need. Writing is one of those good friends that will always be there for you when you get back.

As others have said, we'll be here when you're able to get back to your writing.

You have my sincerest thoughts on what you're going through, my grand aunt has Alzheimer's and she's deteriorating fast.

Good luck on moving house and hope everything goes well. One of my fave authors has it too, Sir Terry Pratchett OBE. He is working on being a guinea pig for new procedures so be sure to check in on his progress.

Don't worry about us. It seems you have enough to worry about, unfortunately. :( I wish you all the best for the move.
