A name for the Doctor.

There were so much running and gunning through out the series existence it couldn't resolve one of it's subplots. How interesting it could've been if The Doctor's creator gave him a name? Like how parents give their creations names. It could've been an emotional moment for the character since it was part of his evolution.

In some of the early Voyager books, he is named Dr. Zimmerman so I guess that the name was there in the original scripts for the series.

It should have been Dr. Kessek.
(Kes spelled forwards & backwards).:luvlove::adore:
After all she was the one who helped him the most with his individuality & rights.:beer:
I expected him to take a Kes related tribute name when Jennifer Lien left the show but unfortunately it never happened.:wah:

The early idea was for him to be called Zimmerman. There is a behind the scenes special that aired on E! before the show aired originally that was hosted by Robbie McNeil (it is on youtube). He referred to the Doctor as Doc Zimmerman. In at least one of the early novels he was also referred to as Zimmerman.
