A MOMENT of history!

Based on what you know of STAR TREK, and all of it's historic moments, which historic moment from all that is Star Trek would you have liked to witness? The ending of the Dominion War? The start of the Federation? What single moment in history would have been interesting to witness first hand???

First Contact. I would love to have watched Cochrane trying to teach the Vulcans how to boogie!

Dax and Lenara kissing in DS9's "Rejoined".

Nah, seriously: Bozeman, Montana, April 5th 2063.

Journeying "out there.... thataway" to parts unknown aboard the Enterprise at the end of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, or seeing "what's out there" aboard the Enterprise-D at the end of "Encounter at Farpoint."

Cool question. I sort of feel interested to be around during the Romulan War - Earth War. I imagine that as quite an eventful period of Star Trek's history. That along with Kirk's birth might be a bit awe inspiring. Maybe most exciting is been on the first Earth Warp ship on it's first flight and been on the NCC 1701 during her first Voyage under April's Command.

I gotta go with first contact as well. It was pretty much the most important date in Trek history.

How about the moment when Mirror Spock took over the Federation?

Number two would have to be the discovery of the wormhole or James T. Kirk's retirement party (I bet it was crazy!).

I'm gonna have to say being in the cockpit with Cochrane during his first warp flight.

And though not technically mentioned or seen in Trek, I would liked to have been one of the first out past our solar system into the unknown.

Yes! In the cockpit on the first warp flight. Just kick out Geordi or Riker, bring along the Steppenwolf disk and a good digital camera, and let it fly!

I'd go with FC's first meeting of Humans/Vulcans. But, as we know, humans had been interacting with TREK aliens far before this event. This is so big because it was out in the open, and for the whole world to see, not just a ditsy secretary or cigar chomping generals or a peace driven activist

The moments after Zefram Cochrane turns on the juke box and the Vulcan sits down and picks up his drink. He already looked a little disoriented.
