A middle school drama class watches Duet

I have lots of female friends who are into Sci-Fi, in fact I've more or less reached the stage were I have more female friends than males. Funny as a male I thought I was supposed to have more friends of my own gender.

You know, that's another good one to watch, "The Visitor." Why didn't I think of that? Gotta remember to bring that one in...

So, the second-to-last day of class, and I show "The Visitor"... I wonder why my kids were blinking a lot, especially toward the end? Come to think of it, *I* was blinking a lot... That episode does it to me every time!

If only they could get past that Middle School habit of "What did that mean?" "Does that mean that he..." "Is he going to..." I don't know how else I can get across to them, "Stop interrupting the episode with questions! Half the time, if you'd quit disrupting the show and LISTEN, they'll answer your question for you! And besides, a good story won't lay it all out for you, it'll let you discover, piece by piece, what's going on! SO SHUT UP AND WATCH THE SHOW!!!" (of course, I didn't say any of that, let alone yell at them. That sort of thing gets you fired.)
