Ok, did somebody mention Vash and kinky? You boys will have to get in line. Dibs were called over here a long time ago. ;) :p

Don't worry, coaster...I'm saving all of my kinkiness for you! ;)

Delenn's new appearance is revealed in the second episode of the season, but if your box set covers are anything like ours, she is indeed on the cover. Great move, that....

Try to avoid it, if possible. The revelation is...
In that case, Steven, as well as no longer looking at the DVD case you should skip a chapter on the DVD when the main title comes up.

When the episodes aired at first, they showed a slightly different version that didn't reveal the secret. For some reason they changed that for the DVDs, who knows why?

I really wish I was watching Babylon 5 for the first time. I love the second season of that show. It's so fun.

None for me?

C'est la vie!

She's on the second season package? To be honest, I never noticed anything, except for the new human guy in the middle...

*resists tempation to run and look*

Well, don't go and look at that box too closely, if you can help it. There is kinda a mini-spoiler on it. ;)

Although I must admit chuckling at your "new human guy in the middle" comment...for reasons that will become clear to you when you watch episode 1 of season 2! ;)

*** sigh *** I wish that every time I see someone gush about how they've just discovered the series and how fantastic it is. :( I'm reduced to living vicariously through newbies. :D

"The new human guy in the middle"... Priceless.

I just remembered something...Steven, I hope someone mentioned to you at some stage that you should not watch/listen to any of the commentaries. JMS and co. assume viewers have seen the whole series, and tend to blab spoilers at regular intervals. Leave the commentaries until you've seen the whole series.

And if someone has indeed mentioned this before...carry on.

^ Yeah, and I think the same thing goes for other extras aswell. I'm pretty sure quite a few of them contain spoilers for the following seasons.

Vash, you still haven't replied to my posts about Farscape. :D

Anyway, I watched some more Farscape last night.

First I watched the S1 finale, "Family Ties" which I thought was absolutely wonderful. All the interactions between the crew were just so well done. Chiana has definately became one of my favourite characters on the show, but honestly, I love all of them. :) I also really liked the development of Crais' storyline. So yeah, it was definately a great season finale.

After that I also watched the S2 pilot which was also a lot of fun. One question though. Is it just me, or does D'argo's make-up look a little different?
The only thing is, that I knew what was gonna happen to Moya's baby, cos I watched Farscape: Undressed a while. That's ok though, it was still a great ep. :D

Well, I watched "Points of Departure" last night and it just felt... weird. It didn't feel at all like the Babylon 5 I had come to know over the past season. :borg:

BTW, I did skip the title sequence just in case. ;)

Anyways, this episode was a bit of a letdown to me. I guess I was expecting everything to be wrapped up in a nice little package a la Star Trek cliffhangers. Instead, by the end of the episode, Sinclair is no longer in charge of B5, Garibaldi is still in a coma, and G'Kar is still missing.

Oh, and SB, too late. I watched the commentary track on "Signs and Portents". :( But given my memory... ;) :p

Instead, we got some Minbari storyline in this episode, which did work out alright and we learned the truth why they surrendered at the Battle of the Line (I forgot to say that I really like the Lennier character :D).

This Sheridan character also seems a bit... bland. But that's only a first impression based on one episode. Although it does confuse me as to why Earth Alliance would put someone who is rather... ah... disliked by the Minbari in command of B5, but I'm sure there's a good reason.

Anyways, those are my thoughts right now. I'm probably going to watch it again tonight before moving on. :)

(Oh, and I knew I recognized the General in this ep from somewhere else. It was Admiral Leyton! :D)

/\ What would you like to hear, "she-who-smacks-people-with-cricket-bats"? :p

Okay, finally a non-B5 post from me...

I just checked the status of my DS9 DVD rebate online and found out that it has been mailed. All I can say is about damn time! :D

Bigfoot, wow you're already into season 2, eh? The early eps in s2 aren't all that great. There are a few slow ones in there, but once you get close to the mid-way point, things definitely start ratcheting up a notch. It's great to see you are enjoying it. When some of the multi-ep arcs come into play, I'm guessing you'll agree that when it comes to 2-part and 3-part eps, Farscape is very difficult to beat.

Have to agree that it would be really great to live through the eyes of newbies to some of these shows and see it through their eyes. It's great to re-watch them, but to watch them for the first time again would be really sweet.

Then again, there's always that certain thrill of watching some of those shows in the company of a special someone for the first time. :p

^ Um, ok...

kevsthaman...you and Sakrysta still need to come to my house for a B5 marathon. I have NOT forgotten!!!! Worf4121 wants to come visit me from Tuscaloosa....you guys should come together! :D

I'm still looking forward to it sis! We're gonna do that one day. You'd think a 2 hr trip would be cinch, but anyway... ;)

^The other show I'm talking about was the WWE (world wrestling whatever), which I will NEVER watch!! NEVER!!
Gotcha. :D I totally agree, wrestling is just such a huge waste of time.
More evidence that I'm the dumbest science fiction fan on the planet.

I really enjoy wrestling.
Man, don't worry bout it! I had a really smart friend in college who loved 3 things a whole lot - Star Wars, collecting football jerseys, and WWE (well, WWF at the time). Happens to the best of us. He got me into The Undertaker's theme music. But that was about all I could stand :p

We all have our guilty pleasures. Mine was a few seasons of The Real World. But you didn't hear that from me

So much amazing stuff happens in the second season. I'm just looking forward to reliving it, is all. :p

Interesting comment you made about the cliffhanger not being neatly resolved in the first episode. That's one of the (many) things I always liked about the series.

/\ Yeah, I guess I'm still in a "Star Trek mode" when thinking about this series...

Anyways, I just watched Revelations. Where's PG15's big eek avatar when you need it? :D :p
-First of all... Delenn.   'Nuff said. :p
-Secondly, it's nice to know that humans still screw each other over in the future.
-Did they change the actress for Na'Toth? I skipped the title sequence to avoid spoilers for Delenn's change, so I didn't see if they had or not. But it didn't seem like the same actress.
-And Londo. What the hell is he getting into? The look on his face when he was told "not yet" to destroying the Narn homeworld seemed to me that he wouldn't go any further, but then we see him revealing that the Narns are sending a ship to... ah... what was the place again? :(

Steven....Sheridan is great. Trust me, you'll come to *love* him. Actually, I prefer Boxleitner to O'Hare...but you haven't seen the last of O'Hare...so fear not! ;)
