^Now I could definitely see those gigs getting filled when you include movies and other video. I remember when I started saving videos on my PC, that was the first time I had to buy a new hard drive (from 10Gb to 40Gb). I don't save much video anymore, but I'll probably start again when I build a new PC I'm planning. Then I'll probably go for 100+ gigs.

I just did a lil quick math. 3300 songs at about 15 songs/CD = 220 CDs. Yep, about my entire music collection (I may have around 300 at this point).

Well, I just picked up Kill Bill V2 from Best Buy, and got one of those free nifty slipcovers that holds both V1 and V2. So, at least I'll have something to watch tonight!

How's the transfer? Cos I read a couple of reviews online and both of them basically stated that the video transfer leaves a lot to be desired, and the audio isn't much better. I think that might be a reason why I'll just wait for the special (or whatever they're gonna call it). :)

I played a bit of it on my computer, and it looked pretty decent to me. I don't have a great TV or sound system at the moment, so I can't tell you much. Most of the time, if the transfer is in widescreen, that's all I need! I'll worry about picture and sound more when/if I get a nice home theater setup in the near future.

You could give it a rent and see how you like it, I suppose. I mainly bought the Volumes now because there hasn't been a release date (or any other info, for that matter) set for a nice SE or reedited version down the road. I figure I can always sell the bare-bones discs online later on if I really don't want them when the new versions come out.

I guess I don't mind double-dipping if I really like the movie, like LotR.

I WILL NOT BE ASSIMILATED!! Well, not real soon anyway. 4 days pass and I'm only up by 1 (as of this post anyway) Take that, you Soulless Minions of Admiralcy! :p :D
 I need to find a way to shorten this enough to put it in a sigline!
Hmm, how about "I will not be assimilated by the Soulless Minions of Admiralcy!"? Or does that take the funniest parts out? ;)

That'll work! :p

Of course...it's too late. Resistance is futile.

Off to the Admiral's Lounge to give you grief.

Alright, well hopefully by the time I get back to Canada, the SE will be announced. And if it's not, I'll just put the vol. 2 barebones version on my wishlist. :)

I've decided I'll be retiring from the Trek BBS when I reach 3999 posts.
That's what SB thought too... but now she's an Admiral, just like everyone shall be eventually... :borg:

SB's not as stubborn as I am.

When I get into the 3990's I'm going to head straight into QSF or Moderator Actions and ask that my account be locked.

Then I'll reregister as Evil Dead II.

I'll have beaten the system!

Muhahaha!

^Too late! Now the Mods know your evil plot and they will be ready! Your futile attempts will be... um, futile ;)

Hey, I haven't been fully assimilated yet. Don't have the rhetoric down

Vash, you're too much! Well, I'll take my assimilation like a man :borg:

Please don't bring me into this...'cos then Vash will think I'm posting here and have a coronary or something.

Oh - waitaminit...

Crap. :p :D

^ You are always welcome to post in here, SB. ;) In fact, this is the perfect thread for you! I think we talk about everything *but* DS9 in here...and everyone who posts in this thread is way cool! :)

You are welcome any time.

Hey, The Evil Dead, now you have to come up to the AL to see what people are saying about you in a thread that was moved from Misc to the lounge...

And yeah, SB, we talk about Babylon 5 in here.... ;) :p

Awww, thanks, Vash. :) I was trying to spare you having to get out the smelling salts too often. :p :D

But if Steven's gonna start being all pleasant and civilised...I may need the smelling salts. :p

That was entirely part of my plan! That was my preemptive strike into the Admiral's Lounge.

But seriously, that's so totally unfair. I'm probably getting ripped apart. Crap, crap, crap. What a great oppurtunity, they could say absolutely anything they wanted to! Maybe I can get 800 posts in a day and defend myself.

^ Hey...you know we love ya. If we didn't we wouldn't be messin' with ya so much!
Watch out now. You know with me flattery will get you everywhere :p

OK, I see :borg: at the bottom of SB's and Steven's sig lines. Something I should know (or run to the Adm lounge & find out)??

As I have little to do today, I'm feeling brave. So I think I will risk my six bucks and take in Alien Vs. Predator. I've found all of Paul Anderson's movies to be at least mildly entertaining, and I hope AvP is at least that.

^ Well make sure you let us know how it was. :)

Anyway...we just got back home from our vacation. So now I'm back on broadband and I'll be able to catch up on Stargate. :D

Hey, I was just curious if you happen to know, do all stores have those free slip covers for Kill Bill V1 & V2? Cos my g/f said she's gonna get V2, so I told her to try to get it. :)
