A Hope. PLEASE! no final countdown!

Yeah. that was awesome.
I wonder if they could do something like in Goldfinger. Like it stops at 1.701

Huh? Everyone who saw Goldfinger must remember that the timer was stopped at 007.

LOL!!!

I mentioned this same thing before also.

Of course Kirk will save the day, but we don't need a big digital clock anywhere telling us that there's impending danger. It's a cheap plot device and I doubt this movie will use it.

Perhaps cheap...but really helps those 007 movies...and helps keep the audience glued to their seats..in fact, I can't think of one ticking clock movie where it really 'bombed'...please..give us some evidence it doesn't work..

Two off the top of my head are the last two Trek movies!

You can have tension and a time limit...but don't be so mundane as to actually have aticking clock to show the audience that the situation is dire.
With the older James Bond movies, you could practically leave the theater early as once they got to the bad guy's place you knew it was a fight, with a clock, and Bond wins, then makes out with the female spy as his boss tries to call him on his funky phone or whatnot.
