Perhaps he found her advances unwanted? Maybe he's gay? Maybe he is married/has a girlfriend? Then again, he could just find her and her lifestyle completely unattractive. There are lots of reasons why he could have been upset, not the least being that he may have found it unethical for his boss to make sexual advances at him.
