A Desperate Plea to J.J. Abrams and Co.

Now seems as good a time as any. {splat} I can hear John Belushi yelling FOOD FIGHT!

And I argue that I am not insane, just nuts. My wife would agree with that too. :klingon:

I'll give J.J. $10.50 to put my name in the credits. I think that gets me in ahead of ancient.

I imagine J.J. Abrams weaving in and out of our posts with a smile on his face and a glass of liquor in his hand, like Cyrano Jones during the bar fight in "The Trouble with Tribbles."

Which reminds me: The climactic scene should be exactly like that fight, only with Eric Bana's Romulans instead of the Klingons. And the Romulans disguised as giant Hulk Men. Also include Cyrano Jones weaving in and out.

And then an epic drinking contest between Mudd and Jones. Mudd wins. The film should end with a Star Child, the Statue of Liberty and the Monster from the Id. Playing poker with Data. :)

To quote one of my favorate lines from Worf in Liaisons, they are insane! Wonder if he knew then he was actually talking about us. :klingon:

Wow, that was a totally unexpected post. I was expecting the opposite. I agree! Although, I hope he listens to a hint of us wanting Shatner in the film. That's the only real concern I have. It won't detract me from seeing the film, I just think it would be great to see Kirk and Spock together one more time.

But, we will see Kirk and Spock together again! In fact, if Nimoy's Spock isn't careful, we run the risk of seeing Kirk & Spock & Spock together :D

No. For romance, the film needs to show that the Enterprise now has an avatar. So when Kirk moans that the ship is like a woman, he's actually got a point.

Is it too late to get Lexa Doig?

And don't look at Sam's avatar and get any ideas...

Supply, I believe you've met my friend Demand

We're going to need a bigger tub!

Maybe Scotty could rig something up with transparent aluminum like he did for George and Gracie.

Maybe then we'd see Spock's buttcheek tattoo as it squishes up against the side....

Anyone remember what the tattoo is?

I agree, don't listen to anyone on this board accept me. I've got great ideas and opinions. Just ask me.

Surely, you can't be talking about Takei... :D

I heard that the producers saw this thread, and decided not to listen to you, and did the opposite.

More seriously, I thought the TBBS was for discussion. Why have a separate board for the movie, if we are all merely to sit back and praise each new press release from Paramount?

I kind of don't think we're going to hurt his feelings.

We don't have to act like this is some sort of gift he's giving us, for which we must all be grateful -- or at least silent.

I'm not endorsing rampant speculation or knee-jerk criticism. But you know what really WOULD concern Paramount and Abrams? If the fans just sat back quietly and waited. From their perspective, the wilder the controversy the louder the buzz.
