A Decade Without De Kelley

I guess nobody's gotten around to posting about the 10th year since De Kelley passed away. Yeah, on June 11, 1999, Bones got called to the big Enterprise in the sky. Makes me feel older just thinking about it.

heh, I was just going to.
Bones is my favorite character in the whole Trek universe; De Kelley was a terrific actor. I wish I could've met him.
God Bless, De. :(

I saw the tribute on Trekmovie. Very sad. Mr. Kelley also reminds me of my grandfather, who was about the same age and is also gone.

Seemed like a real guy, not some actor douchebag.

He'll be remembered, and that's all any of us can hope for.

It would have been good to meet him, shake his hand and deliver a kind word. I know Jimmy Doohan thought a lot of him as both an actor and as a human being. May God rest his soul.

Agreed all around.

He was arguably the best actor on the show, and inarguably the classiest person associated with TOS.

I also wish I could have met him. The more I watch TOS, the more I appreciate what he gave us.

DeForest was definitely one of the people I wish I could have met. My neighbor where i used to live back in Idaho met him 2 or 3 times at conventions and whatnot and said that he was the nicest person you could ever hope to meet.

RIP good sir.

What more can be said of DeForest Kelley other than that he was a class act all the way? Only that he will be missed terribly.

Godspeed, De. You were one of a kind. /**

It's been said a few times, but I also would have loved to have met him. I didn't realize it has been so long since he passed away.

Thanks for the lovely tribute, Carpe Occasio.
