A Decade of Binary Goodness

I'll tell you a secret: it never gets old.

I'll bet. It's just one of those things, isn't it...

I had some idea when I noted many years ago that my GPs quality of bedside manner seemed to be directly proportional to how many times I called him "Doctor" in a deferential uncertain little voice. :p :rommie:

I just watched the Futurama episode with TOS. I was thinking...I could kick Melllvar's ass in Trek trivia just from reading this board for ten years....
I introduced my younger brother to Trek, and I think he was stunned I could answer all his questions about the trek universe... he's turning out to be kinda geeky, so some of those questions were pretty involved. I think he thought I was some kind of savant or something! Apparently it's ok to be a boffin these days according to him. I spent a large amount of time stuffing my love of trek in the closet when I was his age.

If this were high school, I would write in your yearbook:

1001001,

I can't believe we've been going to the same school for so long without really getting to know each other. Let's totally keep in touch after graduation!

Take care,
RoJo

I cannot believe that no one has suggested pulling up a groove and getting fabulous. Shame on you!

Digits FTW. :D

I would have said it, but I am programmed to be very busy.

I thought this was going to be remineniceing about the binary dates we've had since Y2K.

89 years till the next one.

I'm willing to bet that digits' ghost will still be posting here on that day...

Many more happy corporeal posting years to you, as well, of course!

I remember that guy. Whatever happened to him?

I'm fairly certain he spent all of his money on faberge malted milk balls, and then joined that cult of thistle worshiping, acrobatic malcontents.

10 years... well done! Happy anniversary!

Like so many of you, this is truly my online home. I'm always here (what does that say?). I've shared my triumphs (the birth of my son, finishing my doctorate) and my troubles (the death of my sister) with people I've never met but feel like I've known all my life. This really is a great community.
Yes, it is a nice feeling. :)

I ought to warn you one of these days. I owe you one. :p

Congrats on turning 10, newbie. You're good people. :bolian:

DarthTom's Law has been invoked. The thread can now die.

Congrats Digits.

Also, I'm impressed you made it through such a long opening post without mentioning Rush. :p

Well, I figure my username and location mention them with every post, so I'm covered.

Rock and Roll!
