Looks like the end is finally near. George R. R. Martin announced on his website today that A Dance with Dragons, the next book in his A Song of Ice and Fire series, will be released on July 12. He says that, while he's not quite done yet, he's close enough that there's nothing, barring a world war or a natural disaster, that could prevent us from having the book in our hands by this summer.

This just makes July that much better for me, as Ghost Story, Jim Butcher's next book in The Dresden Files, will also be released in the same month.
