The Doctor appears to have nicked one of my shirts.
Surprised they left that line in, which is IMO *more* iffy where sensitivity to current events is concerned than the actual cut we're due for later!

Well, that deprived us of a fair chunk (as anyone who saw the scripts will know), as well as actually changing a thing so that it's actually *more* violent in implication...
I liked it. I think this might be Gatiss' most tolerable episode that he's written since, well, The Unquiet Dead. I kinda liked the uncertainty of whether Robin Hood was real or not, and overall, I enjoyed it.
This Doctor, to note, seems to try and outdo even the Sixth is douchyness. That being, I'm really growing to Capaldi more and more.

Big silly fun, with out-of-character regular cast, contrivances aplenty and a stirring soundtrack. I've rounded it up to a four out of five.

Thought it was a good episode, I keep missing the first 10 minutes of the episodes for the last two weeks so hopefully I didn't miss much this week.
During the sword fight, immediately before Robin and the Sherriff both cut the ropes and are pulled up onto the wooden beam...
The Sherriff knocks Robin's sword away and is about to kill him. Clara throws a sheet over his head, blinding him so that Robin can grab his sword and cut the Sherriff's head off, which rolls away. The Sherriff's body then gets back up and grabs Clara, while the Sherriff's head tells how the spaceship landed on him - revealing by this that *he* is the titular Robot of Sherwood! He then threatens to have his body kill Clara if they don't give him back, so Robin throws the head to the body, which releases Clara in order to catch it. It then reattaches the head, and Robin says something about this giving him a sporting chance. They then resume their fight, with the ropes.
Of course, aside from meaning the title is now meaningless, this edit also means everyone will have seen the *human* Sherriff get killed, rather than a robot Sherriff get melted.

I thought it was perfect. Silly in all the right ways.
He does still have some dialogue that he says he's half man half machine though. That was fun anyway, a bit thin but a lot of fun. Nice to see Capaldi get some action.
I'll tell you something about tonight's DW, censored or otherwise - there are so many gags and refs that it definitely bears repeated viewing! You'll never catch them all in one go.
