I doubt it. Even if they succeeded in penetrating the casing, the antibodies would probably stop them before they got to the lifeform.

Not if they didn't try to eat anything until they got to the Dalek... Why was it bright as day in there?

I just realized, Rusty is not the first good Dalek the Doctor has encountered. Dalek Caan recognized the error of Dalek ways and saved the entirety of creation in Journey's End. It's not clear whether 10B's Dalek genocide was part of Caan's plan, but if so he was Rusty before Rusty.
