80's synth style sci-fi scores (on enterprise)

one thing that i really love about Enterprise is that every now and then, there is a piece of music that has that low, deep synth sound like in lots of classic 80's sci-fi films.

the only one that comes to mind immediately is in the episode near the very end, either terra prime or demons, when trip is trying to escape from the room by fiddling with the door control.

but i know i heard other examples in previous episodes. i wish all star trek was scored in such a manner!!!!!

After hundreds of episodes with the orchestral sound, hearing synth did stand out and add something extra special. Just here and there, not as much as early TNG. Trip's McGuyver scene still gives me chills for instance. By this time, Dennis McCarthy was working with someone new, although I need to see the episode end credits for his name. The Mirror Universe theme is credited to the pair as well. The usual scores mostly became a bit bland and routine, interchangable with most of TNG, DS9 & VOY.

Pieces from Regeneration (creepy) and Azati Prime (Enterprise goes down fighting) are also worth checking out too.

I thought the music at the end of Similtude before Sim went to sickbay was heartbreaking. It really made the scene.
