Like making January 1st the beginning of the new year, 2000 as the beginning of the new millennium, I know technically the episode won't be the 777th episode, but it's just so much nicer and easier to think it is.

But, then I'm a sucker for random, unimportant, made-up coincidences.

EDIT: Well, wikipedia itself claims 770 episodes aired so far now that I check. Apparently there were 6 unaired episodes I counted ("Shada", a 4th Doctor story), and maybe I miscounted 1. vov
