^ In fact, it's kind of a vital plot-point that Amy was pregnant before she was abducted. If she hadn't told the Doctor "what he must know" before she was (apparently) kidnapped and replaced during the three-month investigation of the Silence, then he wouldn't have had a reason to scan her for a bun in the oven and ultimately figure out the reason for the conflicting readings. He would've never known she was gone in the first place.

I think she was pregnant before being kidnapped and whoever or whatever orchestrated the abduction and switch. Basically, they just took advantage of the situation.

If she was taken inbetween part 1 & 2, I do wonder did The Silence know she was a ganger when they kidnapped her or are they not involved at all in this seperate storyline? Maybe this eye patch lady and her army are using Amy & her child to fight against the Silence...since they said the kid would become a weapon in that teaser trailer.

oooo so many questions.

Pretty sure the Silence are involved. The whole adbuction/impregnation/child-stealing thing is a familiar theme from ufology related to the grey-aliens. And guess who the Silence resemble?

Rory should be looking out for implants. ;)

They don't look like a typical Grey or even the Asgard from SG1 but they do resemble the Chig's from Space: Above And Beyond.

And probing... I have to wonder what's so interesting about the human rectum that the aliens have to keep doing that.

Paul has a very strong opinion on anal probing:lol:

Amy was pregnant in "The Impossible Astronaut". If the Ganger was made after that, the Ganger would have been pregnant, too. These things duplicate clots and bow ties ... I doubt they'd miss a fetus.

I assume Amy was abducted right after the Silence on the Ceiling scene.

One problem I have is how did the Ganger maintain it's link when they went outside the universe in the Doctor's Wife?

She couldn't have been because she saw Eye Patch lady before she went into that room.
Really? I thought it was after before she went into the little girls room.

I thought she went into the girls room soon after she was in the room with the Silence on the ceiling.

Silence on the ceiling, she leaves, walks down a hallway, sees the eye patch lady on a door, then enters little girls room.

They also achieve sentience in bad weather. I think Amy's was a bit more sophisticated than the dawn of the technology, considering it managed to hold a connection across (and beyond) space and time. Never mind that the gangers had that pasty eye-thing, and the one managed to split herself in two and grow a super-arm and transform into the Dr. Lazarus creature, meaning they weren't married to the original template, so I think someone with just a bit of know-how and gumption would be able an un-pregnant ganger from a pregnant baseline.

(I'm sorry, I accidentally replied to the last post on the last page, this makes this one irrelevant, but I'll leave my question from it:)

When it was that Amy told the Doctor she's not pregnant? It was much later than seeing the Eye Patch lady, right?

Anyway, I doubt she was abducted when she was the Silence on the ceiling. It is the best spot to do it - the marks on her face make you wonder what happened in there, something did happen, and there is some mystery about it and then she saw the Eye Patch lady right away. But she must have already been 3 months further in the pregnancy at that time, so I think that makes it improbable, and I think all clues suggest that she was a ganger all the time, and there's little reason for the clues to be misleading about something like this.

Though the Eye Patch lady said “No, I think she is just dreaming”, which suggests that it is the first time Amy's mind became aware of her real surroundings, and perhaps also that the Eye Patch lady didn't know about the ganger at that time. Does that suggest that the abduction was a recent thing?

P.S. I've got a feeling that this arc will be a much better watch once it is resolved. Suddenly the apparent confusion and non-sense will have some meaning. I look forward to watching all those episodes again once everything is solved. I hope that the next one doesn't end with a cliffhanger again... And I hope it solves everything... So far... (And if it introduces a mystery, it's an entirely new one, still resolving all the old ones)

Yeah, silence on the ceiling and one moment her face is clean and the next it's covered in marks from all the silents she saw. We don't know how long exactly she was there.
