^you mean the 6 location scattered across south Wales were a cost saving move?

:guffaw:

i thought this was brilliant, but a little disappointed that nothing was made of Amy telling the Doctor about him dying. and slightly disappointed that jenny turned into a beasty.

what a cliff hanger, Moffatt seems to be writing to comic book rules this season, not that the great big galatic reset is not comparable to something like Crisis of Infinte Earths.

I am glad they wrote out the Ganger Doctor, I am not really up for another level of complex this series, we have alot of that already.

i loved hearing lines from the old Doctors. was that actually Tom Baker's voice? Moff seemed to suggest it was on Confidential...

Over two episodes with just some props to dress them with and only five, sorry six (can't forget the now obligitory kid in nearly every sodding story) other cast members does indeed save money.

Much better then the first part(the characterisations felt a lot less one dimensional).

Ending was amazing, and makes a lot more sense of the goings on in the orphanage.

Yeah, sadly no new episode for those of us in the US (or Canada). Instead of watching the show like I normally would, I'm going to spend my Saturday walking along a stream. ;)

Walk thru a gravel quarry, it'll make you feel better.

....If I was writing a later episode I'd have the boots be the villains- the have worn-out souls...

"The last thing I heard, they sort of... robbed a car and drove it into a canal. They couldn't steer, you see."

Awful, and totally inconsistent with the previous episode. Another cheap cliffhanger from Moffat too.

Great episode, and a pretty worthy followup to the last one. The ganger story was resolved fairly nicely in the end (there were so many ways it could have gone wrong, but they managed to do it well), and it seems that they're finally moving on with the arc that this series is screaming to use.

Very enjoyable.

The Jelly baby stuff was just awesome, as was hearing Tom Baker's voice. As for that ending, well I kind of knew it was coming but that didn't make it any less shocking when it actually happened.

Hooray, so I was right in guessing that the pregnancy not locking-in as positive had something to do with a ganger Amy. I just thought it was the ganger that would be proper pregnant.

A lot more dialogue than usual that I didn't quite understand this time, but I don't think it was anything important. So was the Doctor saying the Flesh is a precursor of Cybermats?

One thing this episode has taught me more than anything else is that the Doctor can be such a callous and manipulative bastard, he'd make his 2nd and 7th incarnations blush.

better than last weeks ep. though, the ending with Amy was surprising. at least, it was to me.

I acknowledge the superiority of the Magpie, he was right about Amy. And ganger Doctor has gone. Or has he...? Molecular memory...

I gave it a fish sticks, but I dunno, it sorta dragged in the middle and people weren't talking to each other much. The last 10 minutes or so picked up the plot and characterisation and made it work.

No one has mentioned a little thing I noticed. When the two Doctors are repairing the console and finishing each others' sentences, they said they had "over 900 years of memory". Hmm. Hmmmmmm. Thoughts?

ETA: whoops, my bad, misremembererd TIA. Now that I finally have access to the house server, I rewatched it and was wrong. Carry on.

Well, it's the Doctor's age, as it's been rather cosistenly shown during the new series. Or did you mean in light of the season opening? Yeah, I suspect we haven't really seen the last of the ganger Doctor.

My first 'Geronimo!' this season. There was a lot going on which was elegantly solved while some new layers were created. One hell of a ride, to sum it up. But the ending was really creepy. I wonder how screwed up children watching this season will eventually grow up to be.

Outstanding! Really enjoyed this one and it even pulled up my opinion of last week's episode.

So the question is ... when did Amy get switched?
