Given my posting rate going back to 2003 I'm a little surprised it wasn't my post. 
In 2003 I was just beginning to reverse my persistent whining about Blalock and embrace Jolene. I would have given this magazine some good fodder for making its point.

I think Trek fans also seem to treat newer shows more harshly than older ones. Views in ENT have gotten more favorable overcthe years. This isn't real Trek! This isn't my Trek! Cannon violation! Etc.
And the new shows certainly do have flaws. But the critic ratings are all pretty positive.

Rotten Tomatoes is about as accurate a metric as Ronnie Milsap judging a wet T-shirt contest.
