NASA says a defunct six-ton satellite released in 1991 is due to re-enter the atmosphere — with the potential to rain debris upon Earth. The satellite expected to come down in late September or early October but its too early to say where. The satelite will break up but it is expected for pieces to hit the ground. NASA says it should be able to refine where it might hit once reentry becomes close.
I say it has a 7 in 10 chance to hit the ocean. Even then, only 3% of the land in inhabited.
