A child's bedroom is turned into the scariest place in the universe when his cupboard becomes...
At last. The dolls whose appearance was leaked last year finally arrive.

Not bad - basically Fear Him - i.e. Fear Her done right, with a touch of daddy issues (and annoying Mockney daddy) from The Idiot's Lantern thrown in.

Pretty good, second best episode of the sixth series. No retarded Moffat storyline bullshit, plenty of The Doctor with no Amy/Rory being stupid and distracting him.

Next weeks episode looks terrible though, I don't think even one frame showed The Doctor. Seriously tired of Rory/Amy companion driven stories.

Average. Definitely another one for the kiddies, though; even more so than the previous episode. Gatiss has of late been proving to be one of the weaker writers when it comes to Who, imho. Next episode looks very appealing, though.

Next week is the Doctor-lite episode for this season, just as "Closing Time" is the Companion-lite episode.

I enjoyed it, but cant put my finger on why. Also as im sure many of you have noticed a trend, people being made smaller, first people shrunk into the robot in Lets Kill Hitler, and in this one, people shrunk into a dolls house, which is an idea I quite like as well.

Wow, that was awful. Very disappointing after last weeks brilliant episode. Not scary, not funny, not interesting. The bad guys were defeated by a lovely hug! :barf:

RevdKathy said something that rang very true for me. It seems like Doctor Who does Voyager. To me this seemed like an episode strung together of rehashed plots, bits from here and there. I'm not really feeling this series. There are a couple of high points that make for some fun, but basically it does seem quite Voyager.

I think this whole season has been Moffat channeling his inner Brannon Braga. I had to rewatch some Voyager recently (in particular "Timeless," but a couple of other episodes as well), and Moffat's Doctor Who this year has been very Braga. I'm enjoying this year of Doctor Who on the same level as I enjoyed Voyager -- I shut my brain off and watch it on a visceral level, because if I stop and think about it too hard, there's nothing under the surface.

All the arc episodes for me have been fantastic, it is the standalones that, other than "The Doctor's Wife", have been a very slight let down. They aren't very challenging, and the Flesh two-parter should have been a single episode.

i liked it. very creepy but fun. as Lonemagpie said, its like a better version of 'Fear Her'.

It was an a average episode for me. I think some of you guys are pretty jaded. Every episode can't be an "EVENT", no matter what the Enterprise trailers tried to tell us. Some stories are just going to be stories.

I liked it because it didn't have the garbage Moffat shit and no River Song. Just the Doctor solving and saving people. That gets it plus points.

Yeah, I don't want every episode to be an event. I just want a decent episode that doesn't make me disengage, when I do that's when I start to nitpick and not enjoy it so much.

Average. Wasn't nearly as bad as "Fear Her" but I didn't find it particularly interesting. I don't feel compelled to watch it again any time soon, which is my criterion for raising an episode above merely average.

Exactly like The Idiots Lantern, and Fear Her, as in it was the very definition of 'filler episode' that I doubt I'll ever watch again. Other than the fact that its always fun watching Eleven being manic and rampaging about, there just wasn't anything here that grabbed me.

Heres hoping next weeks is an improvement.

(addendum)

Despite getting George fixed, I couldn't help noticing that theres still the problem of the back rent being due.
