Can't believe it's the end of Matt Smith's first season/series. All we'll have to tide us over till next April is set reports of the Christmas special which starts filming July 12.

Well...won't we also have the Christmas special on Christmas?
I can't believe we're at the end of the season already. I have to admit, when Matt Smith was first chosen for the role, I was skeptical, but I remained cautiously optimistic. But he blew any expectations I had completely out of the water. And I'm confident that this season finale will be...fantastic.
Do you think the people in front of and behind the camera, when they've spoken in interviews about the Christmas special, they're lying? Why do you think there won't be a Christmas special this year?

Matt Smith will be in a couple of episodes of Sara Jane Adventures later this year some time too. But yeah, series 6 seems a loooooong way off.

I live in America and I'll be seeing it in a couple of hours.
Loved it. Absolutely loved it. An entirely different series finale - much more about the characters than the spectacle, and all the better for it.
Moffat's a genius. Thats some of the best television I've seen in years. Great pace, story acting. Cleverly written and satisfying conclusion. Rory and amy are now my favourite companions they all work so well together. And there are still questions. Now we have 6 months to wait till christmas.
That was... terrible. There were individual scenes that were very good and I liked how did marry off Rory and Amy but as a coherent narrative it was a complete dog. I *loved* last week's episode and was so hyped for this but gawd... it's like I got up on Christmas day, opened my presents and they consisted of dog turds.
