50 Things to love through 50 years of Star Trek

I haven't examined it at all, but there are probably 50 really watchable good episodes for STAR TREK.

Weird list. I get the feeling that it was written by someone who wasn't too familiar with Trek, and wrote it after skimming a few entries on Wikipedia to refresh their memory. I've excerpted some of the more bewildering entries below.

15. Green women in go-go boots.
Never happened. There were green women in TOS, and there were women in go-go boots in TOS, but they never had a green woman in go-go boots. Both Vina and Marta were barefoot, IIRC. Maybe they're talking about Orion women in Starfleet in the first JJTrek film?

28. Friendly arguments. Kirk or Picard? “Star Trek” or “Star Trek: The Next Generation”? Play a game of 3-D chess to determine the winner.
FRIENDLY? :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

41. Girl power. Women have played crucial roles in Star Trek from the beginning, most notably Star Trek: Voyager’s Captain Kathryn Janeway, played with steely resolve by Kate Mulgrew.
Ummm... :wtf: You guys know that VOY premiered almost 30 years in, right? That's not the beginning of Star Trek by any stretch of the imagination.

How can you have a list of 50 greatest things in Trek and not have Andrew Robinson playing Garak?

Yeah I got the same impression. Even worse, the bit about Worf being half human and half Klingon had my face firmly in my palm...
37. Worf. Half-human, half-Klingon, Worf (Michael Dorn) was in more “Star Trek” episodes than any other character, appearing as a regular in “The Next Generation” and seasons four through seven of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.”

There is always going to be stuff that should be included and isn't. That is the thing about lists, you can always go back and create your own. :klingon:

Wow, I totally missed that one. I wrote the list off pretty quickly and just skimmed most of it.

9. The infamous “Saturday Night Live” parody with Shatner: “You, you must be almost 30. … Have you ever kissed a girl?”
Ah yes, so many fans just love that, don't we? :wtf:
I did. That sketch was damn funny. If I was making my own list of 50 things I love about Trek, that SNL sketch would most likely be on it.
