5 little things that need to be done for "Discovery" to be a Prime Universe show.

1 Sarek must eat Poemik soup, I think it's called. Everyone knows this is the only thing that Vulcans like to eat.

2 If Burnham gets into fistfights, some of them must be badly edited so we can see her ovious stunt double in the fight.

3 Burnham must use logic to talk that robot on the bridge into self destructing.

4 One of the younger male characters must wear a Davy Jones haircut in at least a few of the early episodes to win over some young teenage girl fans who are really into the "Monkees."

5 The pilot episode must not be shown first and instead the first episode we see should focus on the crew trying to stop a monster that has snuck aboard. It must be the last of it's kind, so we feel bad for it when it is killed.

If you're referring to Barrows's uniform getting ripped, and I think you are, she was struggling against unwanted sexual contact, which absolutely qualifies as "fighting."
I think they're referring to Kirk's top after his fight with the Finegan automaton. It didn't take very much to tear it. Apologies if I'm wrong and they did mean Barrow's uniform. You know I bet she was thinking at the time: 'I wish we still wore those grey tunics over dark-grey trousers like we used to ten years ago aboard ships like the USS Discovery'.

I was thinking of the Finnegan fight as well. It was a good beating Kirk took, but Finnegan's glitter tunic didn't take as much of a beating, did it?

This would never happen to Burnham.

The poster said "without even fighting" so it didn't even occur to me to read it that way at all.

Actually I was referring to Kirk after he's finished fighting Finnegan and he's lying on the ground with an undamaged shirt in one shot, and then in the next shot it's suddenly torn.
