5 favorite movie/tv presidents or leaders of a country ?

^ IMDB's entry on that film has this bit...

In Boston, Kevin Costner's attempt at a Boston accent is so notorious that a "Kevin Costner accent" is an accepted slang term for a non-Bostonian's unsuccessful attempt at a Boston accent.

:guffaw: :guffaw: Any Bostonians care to comment on this? ;)

I always wanted Jed Bartlett to appear on The Daily Show when he was President, or just after he left office.

O'Toole and Hepburn as Henry II and Eleanor in The Lion in Winter. Timothy Dalton as Philip of France from the same movie.

Brian Blessed as Augustus in I, Claudius.

Yul Brenner as Soloman in Solomon and Sheba.

Sounds like he did about as well with that accent as he did with his English accent in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

Oh, shit... I totally forgot Kenneth Branagh as Henry V in his 1989 adaptation of the Shakespeare play. :o

No order to either list.

Fictional...

2.) King Silas Benjamin (Ian McShane), Kings
3.) President Merkin Muffley (Peter Sellers), Dr. Strangelove
4.) Adenoid Hynkel (Charlie Chaplin), The Great Dictator
5.) Bobby (Jack Warden), Being There

Real (based solely on performance, not personal politics)...
1.) President Richard Milhous Nixon (Anthony Hopkins), Nixon
2.) President Richard Milhous Nixon (Frank Langella), Frost/Nixon
3.) Queen Elizabeth II (Helen Mirren), The Queen
4.) Prime Minister Golda Meir (Lynn Cohen), Munich
5.) President George W. Bush (Josh Brolin), W.

Ugh. So did I! He was fantastic. Derek Jacobi's Claudius was also marvelous in Branagh's 1996 Hamlet.

Speaking of Shakespeare, I don't suppose Clay Morrow counts? No? Hey, where are you going?
