Those have to be the most generic preview photos they've ever released! Four characters that almost always turn up, standing in three sets we see every time, just having a chat.

Pretty much every preview photo they release for the episodes are generic. It's like those old Pocket Books Star Trek novel covers which were always just photoshopped pics of Kirk, Spock, Picard, Riker, the Enterprise, etc., and had nothing to do with the actual story the novel was telling.

They presumably take stills during filming but before post-production adds CGI, which limits what they can show heavily.

Yeah, sometimes those vague descriptions are hilarious. And in some cases, the longer description for a plot is equally hilarious.

The ones for Mad Men were incredible back when they were airing. Pretty sure the season 6 finale was just, "Don has a problem."

I remember one of the recent Walking Dead episodes had a description that was "A sinister plot is learned amidst shocking personal revelations when the group is overrun by zombies." Well, that's basically any episode of any of the three shows in the franchise.

Same with the on-screen program guide DISH (or DirecTV) has.

I remember the description for Tremors - "Four big worms with multiple tongues dig high-speed around people". This too could have been for any of the movies.

TrekMovie used the same images. they use whatever CBS gives them.

A 5th image was also added later of the President, on both sites.

They receive pictures that Paramount chooses to release.
