... the first Doctor Who story was aired in the UK. Is anyone watching "An Unearthly Child" to celebrate?:)

As I am about to go to work, I can't watch the original, but I can listen to some of the Big Finish audios on the way to work and back. The latest audio is called Forty Five....I wonder why ;)

Yeah, but probably only that episode, and not the other three parts that make up the caveman story...

Same.

didn't get the chance to watch yesterday though, I was FORCED to watch fucking Kung Fu Panda. Or "Shitty Jack Black Movie 7: This Time It's CGI".

Missed Top Gear and everything! :scream:

Why was that film so popular? I took my nieces to see it and it was so shite.
My condolences for your lost time.

Made up for it with 2 left4dead campaigns :D

I don't get all the praise that's heaped on these cutesy CGI bollocks things though, they're almost universally shite. I could understand when CG cartoons were a bit of a novelty back in the Toy Story days but now when the box offices are stuffed to gills with them and they all share the same basic cookie-cutter fish out of water plot? No thanks. Jack Black can get f'ed aswell.

Sorry guys, rant over. I promise.

I like (most of) the Pixar ones, they at least seem to have some creativity and heart to them. The rest seem like they're done to cash in on the fact they're popular.

I need to do the last 2 campaigns in L4D properly, I've stopped half way through then gone back from the middle. I also need to try and find some friends who have it and get some multiplayer games done.

I only recently saw Unearthly Child for the first time a few months back, so no point renting it again.

That's not the point. Unless debarring from doing so by unsympathetic bosses, you watch An Unearthly Child (but not the rest of the story) at the right time on the anniversary, or You're Not a Real Fan. :-)
Actually, I think this Sunday was the first time I'd managed it in 12 years or more, and only just before the laptop battery ran out...

I'm not "a real fan" I saw a few when I was a kid, rented a few over the last few years on DVD, but mostly I'm a fan of the new series, whereas I just think the classic series is something that's ok to pass a bit of time... I know I should be strung up... :p
