3D Trailer For Series Fred Coming. Possibly.

interesting.

I was looking forward to watching that in the cinema aswell! Bloody Disney!

I said this on the avatar thread, when I saw Avatar on 3D I was hoping to see the Alice in Wonderland trailer in 3D.

Not sure why we need a 3D Doctor Who trailer however, since its not going to air in 3D (to my knowledge)

Would they even air a Doctor Who trailer in a movie theater in the US?

We should be so lucky. I'd love to have seen the previous cinema trailers shown in the US and Canada.

I don't think there ever has been a trailer for a TV show made for American cinemas, at least not in recent years. Doesn't anyone know if this ever happening?

I agree, though, that beyond the novelty value putting together a 3-D trailer for a non-3-D TV series doesn't make a lot of sense (unless Moffat is planning a gimmicky 3-D episode as has been done with a couple of US shows in recent years).

Because Disney want to make the DVD available for sale 12 weeks after the initial cinema release rather than the ususl 16/18 weeks (I may have the numbers slightly wrong but that's the gist of it)

When the girlfriend & I went to see AVATAR at the IMAX, the Alice in Wonderland trailer was in 3D.

'twas awesome.

It's a joke at the expense of the fact that official sources disagree on whether this is series 5 (of the revival show) or series 1 (with Moffat's team running things).

Yep, Disney want to cut 4 weeks off the time the cinemas will be allowed to show it. The cinemas are complaining that they book films in blocks of 16 weeks and it wouldn't work for them to just remove 4 weeks from that.

I don't see why the film can't still be on cinema when the DVD is release... They often show kids films in special weekend showings after the DVD release.

Has this been sorted though? They said the head of Disney was flying in for talks with the cinemas, and my local cinema is still advertising Alice, quite prominently too.

I was not at an IMAX.

I've seen the Alice in Wonderland trailer in 3D about 3 times now, and it wasn't an IMAX I was at either.
