That was rad. It really reminded me of one of those creepy 60s/70s horror films that I used to watch late-night on Channel 4 as a kid. That was one thing I really liked about Shutter Island--the freshness of its soundtrack.
It's the classical music that I can't stand getting used over and over again. Carmina Burana is the top of my list. The Four Seasons, Pachebel's Canon, Ma Vlast, The Carnival of the Animals...
Add "O Fortuna" to that list.
That "You spin my head right round" track has been used on about 5 mainstream films in the last year.
That's "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana, previously mentioned in the thread; it was by Orff, not Wagner. What is that piece from Excalubur - probably by Wanger - that's used for every period action film trailer?
Hm. Freudian misspelling of "Wagner" on my part?
This list is a joke without "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.
Apparently not!Right. Is there a moderator in the house? And this is SF/F rather than TV and Media how, exactly?![]()
